Governor-Elect Chris Christie has a deep affection and strong commitment to New Jersey, and has lived here nearly his entire life. He was elected a Freeholder in Morris County, and served as Director of the Board in 1997. Chris was named U.S. Attorney for the District of New Jersey in 2002, where he earned wide-spread praise for his efforts in battling political corruption, corporate crime, human trafficking, gangs, terrorism and polluters.

Lt. Governor-Elect Kim Guadagno
On November 3, 2009, the people of New Jersey selected Monmouth County Sheriff Kim Guadagno to be the first Lieutenant Governor in our state’s history and was more recently named Governor-Elect Chris Christie’s choice as our next Secretary of State.

New Jersey is and always has been my home and I am honored and humbled that my fellow New Jerseyans chose me to lead our great state through the difficult times that lay ahead. Our challenges are great and we have a lot of hard work to do, but I pledge to you that Kim and I will work tirelessly to forge a new direction and begin rebuilding our state in order to ensure a future we can all be proud of.
But we cannot do it alone. Now, more than ever, it is important for us to come together as one New Jersey:
To serve each other and the communities we call home. In this spirit, Kim and I invite you to join us in Newark on January 19th to help us commemorate the start of New Jersey’s renewal.
